The Friends have helped Lambeth Palace Library acquire many devotional and liturgical books and manuscripts, from Books of Hours and Primers to Missals and Processionals from both the Use of York and the Use of Sarum (Salisbury), the two major uses of pre-Reformation England. When Mary I came to the throne there was a revival in the printing of devotional books of the Use of Sarum. The Friends have helped the Library to collect a representative sample of these books.
